Bohemian garnet, called such due to its limited mining in the westernmost part of Czech Republic, was coveted during the Victorian era for its brilliant, wine red hues. Traditional designs focused more on the arrangement of these stunning garnets over the metal chosen, resulting in numerous unique designs set in a gold-tone metal referred to as "garnet gold". This one of a kind alloy has only been seen complimenting true antique garnets.

This incomparable piece of history features over 190 unique, hand cut garnets, totaling approximately 13 carats, set in independent prongs and bezels all throughout the design. The complete necklace hangs at 18" and is set with the original security clasp.

As with all antiques, this piece is a one of a kind and can sell at anytime. Please check with either store before purchasing to check availability.
